Each of us attorneys at Hibiya Park Law Offices is variously expertised in areas centering on corporate law, corporate governance, patent, trademark, copyright and other intellectual properties, competition law, sports, media and entertainment, and financial transactions as well as litigation and other dispute resolutions. Our mission is to provide quality legal services to our clients as lawyers at the forefront of a wide range of areas of law and we have corresponding track records to be labeled as a “crack squad.”
For business entities seeking to survive in the midst of significant changes in the global and regional economic environment, it is imperative that they develop business road maps and strategies in every step of their business operations and managerial endeavors. Businesses are required to be knowledgeable about the rules and regulations in heavily regulated business areas and to develop effective strategic measures in line with the spirit of fair competition.
In addition to providing quality legal services in the course of such strategy development, we are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge legal guidance, strategies and tactics for our clients in every situation, such as handling of tough deal negotiations, seeking of preliminary injunctive remedies, and dispute resolution through litigation or arbitration. Moreover, we also aim to seek and reach the most favorable and advisable solutions for our clients. We are committed to being the “fallback squad” or “final bastion” for businesses, particularly in the area of dispute resolution. Over the past several years, we indeed handled numerous cases involving large amounts of damages related to investments in IT system vendor development and derivative transactions.
While our firm vigorously seek to be a unit to combat together with our corporate clients for their best interests through transactions and otherwise, we also intend to be a firm capable of supporting the implementation of stringent measures to rectify any misconduct or corrupt situation within business entities and prevent illegitimate conducts from occurring/recurring. Where businesses are developing awareness of the importance of compliance, recurring corporate scandals and misconducts do transpire. We firmly believe that the best way to protect the interests of a business is by preventing the occurrence/recurrence of any serious incident or situation through the elimination of possible misconducts at an early stage by vitalizing self-cleansing functions within the company. It is with this firm belief that we provide our clients with advice on the establishment and management of a so-called “third-party (independent) committee” and measures of effective risk management.
Not merely by providing guidance, strategies and tactics for clients to be well-equipped to become and remain competitive within their industry, but also by providing quality advice on corporate governance and intra-company disciplining that would enable preventing businesses from self-destroying themselves by the exposure of corporate scandals or misconducts, we aim to be a true legal partner delivering huge success to our corporate clients who confide in us.
